It is the MISSION of the Sharing Org to share the love of God and to build relationships with residents of care facilities by providing them with weekly inter-denominational Christian worship services.

For 2008 we have three objectives:

1. Recruit 100 new Prayer Partners to partner with and support this ministry through their prayers.
2. Assist the people that we serve in filling 100 shoeboxes in participation with Operation Christmas Child.
3. Form a "Friends of the Sharing Org" committee to promote the work of the ministry.

Prayer is the foundation that supports our work and so each month we send a prayer/news letter to our partners to inform them of the ministry happenings and prayer concerns. Click here to learn more about what is expected of a prayer partner.

Since we started this ministry in 2003 we have been assisting residents in participating in Samaritan's Purse's Operation Christmas Child shoebox program. OCC delivers shoeboxes filled with gifts to poor children around the world. Because the people that we serve are home-bound, they appreciate this chance to be a real blessing to someone for Christmas. This year we are going to help the people we serve fill 100 shoeboxes. This outreach will encourage the spirits of the residents who will pack the shoeboxex, will be a practicle blessing in the lives of the children who receive each box, and will allow those who donate to this special ministry project to know that their contribution is touching the lives of more than just a single person. The development of a Friends committee will support the Sharing Org by providing us with a group of people committed to helping the Sharing Org meet its annual objectives and be a source of support to the people we serve in the care facilities.
