The Need and a Response

In many cases, residents of our community who live in nursing home or adult foster care (AFC) facilities are unable to attend a local church, so the Sharing Org leads regular Christian worship services in individual care facilities by going to to them. In this way we provide a church for those who have no other options for Christian worship or fellowship.

The fields are ripe
but the harvesters are few.

According to the department of Administration on Aging (AoA) the "Baby Boomers" will begin to reach the age of 65 between 2000 and 2010. According to the AoA, the number of citizens that are 65 or older will increase from 35 million in 2000 to 40 million in 2010, increasing 12.5% in that decade alone. The aging spurt of the "Baby Boomers" will peak in the decade of 2010 to 2020 by adding another 55 million baby boomers who reach age 65, increasing their numbers by 36%. The aging explosion then begins tapering off in the decade 2020 to 2030 by adding 'only' another 16.5 million people to its ranks.

What does this mean? This means that in your very own neighborhood nursing homes and AFC homes will be built or added-on to in order to house the increasing number of people needing specialized care.

Our Vision is to inspire all churches to adopt a care facility in their own community so that they may provide them with regular Christian worship services.

Our Values

We value building relationships with care facility residents and their families, as well as with the staff who care for the residents. We believe that through these relationships the love and gospel of Jesus Christ may be most effectively shared.

The Sharing Org is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)(3) Non-Profit Organization. This means that your fianancial contributions to the Sharing Org are fully tax deductable.
