Helen
became ill with Alzheimer's Disease when she was still in her
40's. By the time she was entering her 50's she had become
completely non-responsive to her husband, children, and grandchildren.
The
staff at Helen's home would faithfully bring her to our weekly
worship service, and although she could not indicate any awareness
of being a part of it, she would seem to calm and listen to
the hymns that we sang.
I
never knew Helen's faith background, but one thing is sure
- Jesus loved her enough to die on the cross for her, and
I had the privilege of making sure that she heard that Good News.
